Veterinarian
Expertise:
Integrative & holistic medicine
Pet nutrition
Acupuncture
Herbal medicine

Dr. LaShelle Easton is passionate about helping people and pets deepen their relationships and live healthier lives.

Her journey into veterinary medicine began when her own cat, Mandu, became ill, and conventional medicine could only do so much. She soon began exploring alternative therapies, desperate to help her kitty. By using natural remedies alongside Western medicine, Mandu’s health improved, and Dr. Easton’s interest in veterinary medicine grew.

Education and Experience

After graduating with her doctorate from Colorado State University, Dr. Easton began a solo, integrative practice combining conventional medicine with acupuncture, laser therapy, nutrition, and herbs.

She trained in small and large animal acupuncture at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, and has taken additional coursework in nutrition, medical massage, laser therapy, and herbal medicine. She is a Usui Reiki Master, and completed a year-long apprenticeship in animal communication.

Current activities

Dr. Easton is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (for which she has been a long-time volunteer), and the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies. She created one of the largest online communities for holistic veterinarians, and serves on the board of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation.

In addition to being a veterinarian, Dr. Easton is an animal communicator and author. She lives in the foothills of the North Cascades mountains with her husband and their small menagerie.
